Mary Hafeman
Mary Hafeman is the Director of Golf Operations at the LPGA International Golf Club in Daytona Beach Florida.
Her accolates include:
- A former player on the LPGA Tour, one of the games’s “Top 50 Golf for Women Teachers” according to Golf for Women magazine
- recognized as a ”Top Teacher” by region by Golf Magazine
- former head golf professional at Ocean Hammock Golf Club.
- an A-4 member of the PGA of America and an LPGA Class A member.
Her outstanding amateur career highlights included:
- A 1980 University of Florida graduate, Hafeman was the captain and most valuable player as a member of the Gators’ women’s golf team.
- elected to the university’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998.
- 1979 Women’s Western Amateur Champion
- 1980 USGA Curtis Cup Team member
- 1981 Women’s Eastern Amateur Champion.
Her professional tournament highlights include:
- In 1999 Hafeman was elected vice president of The First Tee program of St. John's County.
- served as director of the Women’s Western Golf Association since 1995.
- honorary chairman for the 2004 Women's Western Championship -- an event she won in 1979.
- named 2006 Club Professional of the Year by the LPGA SE Section Teaching and Club Division
- 2006 North Florida Section PGA Standard of Excellence performance recognition.
